YOUR COMFORT COMES FIRST
Pause. Skip.
Ask for help.
You never have to answer a question that feels private, embarrassing or unkind. Use a nickname, skip the prompt and tell the adult host or another trusted adult.
If you are playing
- Use a first name or nickname rather than a full name.
- Do not share your address, school, phone number, passwords, health information or anything else you want kept private.
- You can skip any prompt, close the page or ask the host to remove an answer.
- If you are under 13, ask an adult before using a contribution link or sending information.
- If something feels unsafe or upsetting, tell the adult host or another trusted adult. You can also ask an adult to contact GameSpark support.
Adult host responsibilities
- Review every prompt and guest contribution before it appears in a game.
- Choose age-appropriate wording and remove humiliating, discriminatory, sexual, violent, coercive or otherwise unsuitable material.
- Let anyone skip without penalty and offer a non-phone way to take part.
- Supervise children, keep private links within the intended group and close the room when play finishes.
- Respond to concerns immediately by pausing play, hiding the content and checking the person is supported.
Report unsuitable content or behaviour
Email support@gamesparkstudio.co.uk. Include only what is needed to understand the concern, such as the approximate event date, affected GameSpark feature and a short description. Do not send passwords, payment-card information, unnecessary names, screenshots of children or sensitive details unless GameSpark specifically explains why they are needed.
How a report is handled
- Record the minimum information needed and check whether anyone needs immediate support.
- Contain the issue by closing a link, removing content or restricting access where the available controls allow.
- Review the host’s moderation decision and whether the terms, privacy safeguards or law may have been breached.
- Reply through the support route, explain the outcome that can safely be shared and record any product or policy improvement.
- Keep an incident record only for the documented retention period, unless a specific legal or safeguarding reason requires a narrower hold.
Privacy and complaints
You may ask GameSpark to correct or delete relevant information, object to particular use or make a privacy complaint. Rights depend on the circumstances and legal basis. Contact support first; you may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. This route does not replace the police, emergency services, a school safeguarding lead or another appropriate authority.
